Tomasz, Well congratulations on the birth of your little cherub..!I love your characterization of her Moon-mars configuration. All that passion in the arms of Luna! Or, perhaps it is the other way around. All that feeling held in the passionate arms of Mars. She'll need healthy outlets for both her angry feelings and her passionate nature, along with reassurance that appropriate expressions of both are healthy. Check back in when you've had some sleep. Best Regards, Judie Harte
Thomas, YES! Thanks so much for the comment. I don't know if you saw it but in a recent thread I said that if Neptune does not get off of my Sun, I might not make it in this life! They've been in a very potent conjunction all last year, probably the year before, and according to my annual astro update just last week, will continue to dance their way with me for the next two years at least. GAH! Not that I need any help in the illusion/delusion/addiction-prone areas, with a 12th house Sun (Aquarius), along with Moon conjunct Mercury also in that 12th house! Pisces rising, needless to say, and Neptune conjunct Jupiter in 8th house of Scorpio. Pluto is hanging out in Virgo in the 6th. Serve or Suffer!
As a matter of fact, my astrologer had just returned from Hawaii where she had a wonderful conference with Richard Tarnas, so we were able to integrate that nicely in the two hours. Out of all of this was planted the seed about my own deep "longing" for union, which I concretize (as M. Woodman would say) into people, substances and experiences. I decided that "The Legacy of My Longing" would be a good first book title and as a result, I am committed to moving 27 years' worth of my dreams onto a blog to really deepen into this whole dynamic that I carry so very intensely. I've suspected all along I would one day work directly with addicts in some way, and I am fascinated by the dreams of addicts, so....yes. It all begins to weave so nicely, does it not? Many thanks again. I'm going to move this over to that thread if you don't mind in hopes others will jump in?
I'm so glad to have you in The Twilight Zone, Tomasz! Is there a particular style of dream work that most appeals to you? Let's get some meaty conversations going, okay? I hope you'll share your thoughts!
Hillman has caught many a thinker of the post-Jungian archetypal focus. I have found his writings challenging in that seeing the change of focus and priority as an interesting corrective/focusing of Jung's work that at times can frustrate those who need a few things "pinned down." Hope you find much to enjoy on the site.
Hi Tomasz. Welcome to the online Depth Psych community. I, too, am fascinated by Hillman's work- finding myself variously mystified and delighted by the workings of his brain and the the powerful contributions he has made regarding his perspective of how the archetypes work (and work on us). So glad to have you here, and I hope you will share some links or resources to work that you like--or even some of your own. Looking forward to seeing you around this space.
