Before you go further, please be sure you are applying for membership with YOUR REAL NAME, FIRST AND LAST, or if you are signing up as an organization, publisher, or project, list the organization name here; then list the name of the contact person in the next question.
If you are signing up as an Individual Member, do you have a degree in Depth Psychology?
Are you a licensed or clinical therapist?
Please share a little about yourself by way of introduction. What draws you to Depth Psychology and what are you looking for from this community?
Although I am not a 'professional' or practitioner of any sort, I have always wanted to explore & understand 'what lies beneath' as well as all around us. I am intelligent enough to understand and learn from any 'professional' pronouncements w/in the community, & perhaps can contribute from a lay person's perspective and/or the perspective of 'patient'
Do you belong to any other online Psychology-related communities or orgs? If so, which?
If you have a Twitter, Facebook, Blog, or LinkedIn account and would like to have people "follow" you, list it here
Currently no blog (though I'm considering it) but will keep you advised. I prefer not to list my Twitter name because I express so many other things on Twitter (despair, cynicism, humor) &/or irrelevant topics) that I probably wouldn't fit in the expectations of what a professional/follower might have. Would rather be 'followed' (connected to/by/with) others as they stumble upon me in the Twitterverse.

Hi Sophie. Welcome to the Alliance. So glad you've found us.
I hope as you explore the community a bit you find a dynamic group of like-minded people who are all deeply drawn by the field of depth psychology. While there are many Jungian analysts and clinical psychologists, our members come from many walks of life--artists, writers, doctors, healing professionals, counselors, students, business people, etc--so there is much cross-disciplinary knowledge and experience here to be shared.
On that note, there are many opportunities to engage as you browse the site. When you're ready to jump in, please feel free to post a topic for discussion in the forum, respond to someone else's post, or share a link to an article or web site you like.
Also, you may want to consider joining the online book club—There's a new author each month, and you can jump in at anytime and participate at whatever level you wish. The Book Club is all done via writing in an open forum, so you can read all the comments that have gone on so far. As you may know, in May, we are featuring a wonderful book from Dr. Thom Cavalli, a specialist in alchemical psychology, "Embodying Osiris: The Secrets of Alchemical Transformation." June will bring a whole new topic with an ecopsychological bent: "ReBearths: Conversations with a World Ensouled" with Dr. Craig Chalquist.
