Tough question to answer...My best answer is that for me, the stories that people tell of their lives has long held my fascination. As a Physician Assistant, my of my clinical work was 'seeing through' the stories to the symptoms of the body. And whatever forces in the universe brought Pacifica into my life, I found myth and depth psych to be like living in the Psyche and Eros story...a total and complete love affair with both. A long answer to a question that I often muse over.
Do you belong to any other online Psychology-related communities or orgs? If so, which?

Dennis Patrick Slattery, professor of myth at Pacifica has just published a wonderful volume entitled Day to Day Dante: Day to Day Dante: Exploring Personal Myth Through the Divine Comedy

It is up on Amazon and really worth a look for those of us seeking to deepen our personal work.

Hi Carol. I never properly welcomed you to the Alliance, but am grateful to have you here. As a fellow Pacifican myself, I know the "depth" of education we get there allows us to delve into a number of topics. I look forward to knowing more about your work, and seeing what you are able to share in the community. Happy new year!

Thanks for your compassion...I will look for your article ( The end-of-life stories fascinate me. Just as romantic love has created some archetypal level images, so has the process of dying. I am truly into the narrative aspect of life so would enjoy hearing what you can share as that work progresses.

Very roughly:  Presence of the Psyche: Invited and/or Imposed (focusing on the place of theatre in society). Actually, I'm told my bigger work: Psyche in 3D: Dream, Drama, and Delerium needs to be my first book - somehow I can't get them to let me have 10 years to finish!!! Can you believe it!!??

Pardon me while I stuff my jealousy back in the box!!!

Would it be too much to ask that you schedule your presentation when I'm at Pacifica??

Kidding!!! (Kinda)
