I'm a Certified, Clinical Transpersonal Hypnotherapist and Certified Dreamworker. I've had a love for archetypes since before I was old enough to know what that word meant! Most of my work with clients is a melding of subconscious and superconscious experiences. I'm also a Joseph Campbell Mythological RoundTable member and have found through Campbell and Jung's works that we are deeply influenced by myth and that it can be used to enrich lives. I'm looking forward to experiencing new, deeper, perspectives on the above topics as well as exposure to new topics.

I'm sure Anne Hathaway will be just what Catwoman needs to be. My faith in her comes from a film called Rachel Getting Married, in which she plays a troubled character in a family plagued by a tragic secret. The portrayal of the psychological dynamics in this family is so well done. Do you know this film?
I was fascinated by the documentary on The Dark Knight, as you were, Wendy. Something, I think, about how Bruce Wayne faces, and masters, his fear. I think Heath Ledger is both beautiful and terrifying as the Joker. Have you heard about the filming of the third, and final, film in the series, with Anne Hathaway as Catwoman?
I apologize for not responding to your joining the Alliance much sooner. There are many folks in the Alliance who share your interests if not your experience. They, and all of us, will benefit from your input into the blogs, forums, and groups. Again, welcome.
Welcome to the Alliance, Wendy, and also the group Encountering the Numinous. I look forward to you sharing your own perspective on the different topics covered in this on-line community.
My work is in business, but I always look for Psyche and symbolism that underpins the rational events that transpire. My field is human resources, so there's a fair bit of personal drama that is always "cooking" within the routine. Unfortunately, Greek and other cultural myths are a weak area of mine, so I probably miss a lot of archetypal symbolism. I hope that you'll weave your knowledge of myth into your discussions here. In any event, welcome aboard!
Hi Wendy. Welcome to the Alliance. It is clear from the depth of your passion and understanding for myth, archetypes, and depth psychology in general that you are in the right place!
Depth psychology is such a powerful lens through which to understand our relationship to the world around us! When we begin to look at how the unconscious communicates with us through symbols that emerge from dreams, art, nature, and the world around us, we start to attune to a collective web of life so much bigger than each of us as individual egos.
You will find many like-minded individuals in the community and I encourage you to jump in and engage by sharing a link or article that has meaning for you, commenting on others' posts, or asking a question.
