Meanings of The Matrix

Wondering if any members are as intrigued by the symbolism of the Matrix films? Struck me as very much in the mode of a hero myth, especially the archetypal features of the characters Neo, Trinity, Morpheus and The Oracle, as well as the challenges and transformations that take place throughout the narrative. Jungian Psychology, Archetypal Psychology, Mythology

Social Anthropology at Queen's University Belfast. Included psychology and my PhD focused on lived experiences of mental health recovery, ethnographic research and recovery narratives.
Are you a licensed or clinical therapist?
I am a registered mental health nurse with experience and qualifications in counselling.
Please share a little about yourself by way of introduction. What draws you to Depth Psychology and what are you looking for from this community?
Having been fascinated by Jung's insights and by depth psychology for many years, I am keen to build my knowledge and experience in how these ideas can be applied in mental health promotion. More recently my work has turned to authorship of several articles and books on creativity and mental health. I hope to find out about the work of depth psychologists and really just to enjoy reading about it, it has enriched my life so much both personally and professionally. In the long term I would like to find a way into further training as a therapist.
