I come to depth psychology through a primary interest in a depth oriented gay-centered liberation psychology. I also am on faculty at Antioch University, Los Angeles where I direct a Specialization in Spiritual and Depth Psychology within the Master's of Psychology Program. I also have a background in mindfulness meditation and am interested in integrative East/West, holistic, transcultural approaches to depth psychology.
What is your WEB SITE (IF you would like to promote it)?
Hi Matthew. Greetings, and glad you've found the online depth community. I would like to add my rather belated welcome to Ed's. As you have seen, the Alliance is a dynamic and growing group of people who understand the power of connecting around critical topics and the fact that we are a global community allows us to meet and learn from others in a multitude of ways.
I hope you'll find much to engage with as you browse the vast content and interact with others I encourage you to jump in right away and get your feet wet by simply sharing a link or article that has meaning for you or perhaps by commenting on others' posts, asking a question, or sharing some of your own thoughts or work.
It looks like you're managing fine, but in case you need detailed help on getting started and navigating the site, please use the following link-- http://www.depthpsychologyalliance.com/page/navigating-the-site --and please don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions at all! I look forward to seeing you around the community~Bonnie Bright, Founder
Glad you have found and joined the Alliance. I have a person in my cohort who is writing about homophobia within the gay/lesbian community. She comes to this as a lesbian in a committed relationship. Might I point her your direction for a dialogue?
There hasn't been much action in creating a group of MFTs coming to the work from a depth perspective although there are many MFTs in the Alliance. Maybe you?? :)
Anyway, I believe there are many blogs, forums, and groups that might catch your interest. Again, welcome and I look forward to your posts.
