From February 2014 to September 2015, ex·tinc·tion wit·ness explored aspects of the collective subconscious as manifest in select groups of animals and cultures. Here, we discuss these aspects to further the exploration and remember these biological and cultural aspects within ourselves. Each discussion begins with a prompt in the form of poetry, prose, and visual art. Discussion may take the shape of poetry, prose, and visual art. We are thinking from the heart.Group audio/video meets are on…See More

This group exists as a place to further and expand on the inquiry into the role of depth psychology, now and in the future; for clinicians and non-clinicians. It is intended to look at what role it plays in our individual lives as well as in the culture, and how we might "take depth psychology to the streets" as an offering to help restore balance in a world that is currently out of balance on so many levels. Anyone can add thoughts, comments, questions, images, links, articles, etc. that you…See More

"Thank you for these reflections, Lyn. I am grateful for the added references which help to capture the nuances of the masculine and feminine, which are so deeply needed.
Do you have a reference for the Tarnas quotes?"
" Hi all,
I've been away for the past 10 days or so, and have been blissfully away from the internet. I return to this wonderful inquiry, and am reflecting on the question of the Yin Masculine in relation to the…"

Greetings, Kevin, and (a belated!) welcome to the online depth psychology community. It's great to have you here! There are many students, faculty, and alums from JFK so you're in good company. I hope you'll jump right in and begin exploring the many different resources and conversations.
As you may know, we currently have nearly 2600 members from all over the world. I hope as you explore the community a bit you find a dynamic group of like-minded people who are all deeply drawn by the field of depth psychology. While there are many Jungian analysts and clinical psychologists here, our members come from many walks of life--artists, writers, doctors, healing professionals, counselors, students, business people, etc--so there is much cross-disciplinary knowledge and experience here to be shared.
On that note, there are many opportunities to engage as you browse the site. To begin with, please take a moment to upload a personal photo to your profile and to introduce yourself in the forum. You can also post a topic for discussion there, respond to someone else's post, or share a link to an article or web site you like, or comment on your current work or ask a question.
