Remembering Dr. Robert Moore and Dr. Margaret Shanahan: A Community Conversation The recent tragic deaths of Jungian analyst and author Dr. Robert Moore and his wife, Dr. Margaret Shanahan have shocked and bewildered many. Thanks to everyone who participated this evening in our community conversation on gun violence in America. We had a rich discussion with many excellent points raised and ideas put forth. We covered a spectrum of approaches: from working on concrete legislation for change in entrenched state and federal government systems, to speculating on archetypal influences From the Greek God Apollo to ancient religious sacrifice. I hope interested persons will continue the conversation with us here in…See More

Welcome James,

I am especially interested in your joining the Alliance in that there is a smaller group within the Jung in the South group that is wanting to form a Jungian group (have I used this word too much?) in Nashville. Would it be okay with you to pass your name and contact information on to them? I believe you will find much of interest within the many blogs, forums, and groups (!) of the Alliance. Again, welcome.

Hi James. A warm welcome to the Alliance. I love the name of your web site--that was a great find!

Once you have a chance to explore the online community a bit, I think you'll find a dynamic group of likeminded people who are all highly intrigued by the field of depth psychology. And, while there are many Jungian analysts, clinicians, and psychologists here, our members come from many walks of life--artists, writers, doctors, healing professionals, counselors, students, business people, etc--so there is much cross-disciplinary knowledge and experience here to be shared.

On that note, I hope you're finding opportunities to engage as you browse the vast content and interact with others. You may want to consider joining the online book club if you haven’t already—There's a new author each month, and you can jump in at anytime and participate at whatever level you wish. February brings a wonderful new book from Jungian Analyst Erel Shalit as well as a special online study group on Astrology with long-time astrologer Kathleen Burt.

In case you need detailed help getting started and navigating the site, please use the following link-- http://www.depthpsychologyalliance.com/page/navigating-the-site --and please don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions at all! I look forward to seeing you around the community~Bonnie Bright, Founder
