Please share a little about yourself by way of introduction. What draws you to Depth Psychology and what are you looking for from this community?
I'm very interested in participating in the growth of myth an depth psych oriented communities-- to continue to learn, to network and promote, cross fertilize, and increase awareness of the value of myth studies and depth psych ideas.
What is your WEB SITE (IF you would like to promote it)?
The Depth Psychology Alliance seems a wonderful group - I want to jump into every conversation - but, for reasons you well know, have not had the time I'd like to participate. Definitely seems though an organization we should like to at Study of Myth, given the Pacifica overlap.
Hi Catherine. Thanks so much for your kind words--and I agree entirely. Depth psychology has had such a tremendous impact on my life that the main goal in launching the Alliance was to help get it out into the world so others could benefit as well. And there is so much strength in numbers. I'm really glad you're a part of it and look forward to getting to know you better.
Hi Catherine. I'd like to add my belated welcome to Ed's.I've been traveling for several weeks, and we've had so many new members, it's been hard to keep up! Its great you've found the Alliance: I, of course, know who you are through the Pacifica Myth folks and Stephanie Pope in particular. We've been on many of the same email groups lately.I've also really enjoyed reading and tweeting some of your work from your web site which I find really great.
I hope you'll find this a place to deeply connect with likeminded others--which you can do by joining a discussion, commenting on others' posts, sharing links or articles that are meaningful to you, or perhaps posting some of your own work. I find it truly wonderful to be involved in this dynamic and growing community--especially since it allows us to connect from all over the globe in a way we otherwise could not.
I'll send you some tips on navigating the site in a separate email in case its of help. Enjoy the site, and I look forward to seeing you around. ~Bonnie Bright, Founder
Happy you have found us! And thanks for my morning reading from your web site. I'm old enough to have lived through the patriarchal, then feminist periods where the genders were seen as enemies that, at best, could only call a benign truce. Not that the patriarchal has stopped its manipulation behind closed doors, but it is nice to be reminded that it is a complementary balance that is intended and needed in life and relationships. Again, welcome.
