  • Welcome Béa,

Glad you found and have both joined and jumped into the Alliance. Your story of the children was both encouraging (I'm an old Montessori teacher.) and saddening. Saddening in that the state of support for the arts has been so dramatically cut that one more portal into the psyche is being narrowed. Keep up the great work you are doing.

  • So glad, Béa! I so appreciate you spreading the word-- the more the merrier, and one of the things I love most about this community is the diversity and contributions from people from all walks of life. Also glad you're interested in Michael Conforti's work--I'm a huge fan myself, obviously!

  • Hi Béa. Welcome to the Alliance. I'm so glad to see you've already jumped in and its great to have another novelist here. We have a handful that I know of.

Meanwhile, hopefully, once you have a chance to explore here a bit, you'll find a dynamic group of likeminded people who are all deeply drawn by the field of depth psychology. While there are many Jungian analysts and clinical psychologists here, our members come from many walks of life--artists, writers, doctors, healing professionals, counselors, students, business people, etc--so there is much cross-disciplinary knowledge and experience here to be shared.

On that note, I hope you'll find opportunities to engage as you browse the vast content and interact with others. You may want to consider joining the online book club if you haven’t already—There's a new author each month, and you can jump in at anytime and participate at whatever level you wish.

Even if you don't have the book for this month, it's all done via writing in an open forum, so you can read all the comments that have gone on so far and get a feel for what's happening. In February, we are featuring a wonderful new book from Jungian Analyst Erel Shalit," The Cycle of Life", as well as a special online study group on Astrology with longtime astrologer Kathleen Burt. March will bring a new book from Dr. Michael Conforti, a specialist in archetypes and new sciences, "Field, Form, And Fate".

In case you need detailed help navigating the site, you can use the following link--and please don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions at all! I look forward to seeing you around the community~Bonnie Bright, Founder

What did the world sound like when it came into being, I once asked a class of first graders? Many raised their eyes to the sky as if trying to remember that sound and then, one by one, without the self-consciousness that afflicts those who are much older, began to offer their answers. A bang?–one said.  A clang?—another one added.  A bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz?–still another offered.

I then played them a recording someone at Harvard had made of a simulation of the Big Bang and watched as eyes…
