Thank you so much for your response. Of course, I agree with everything you stated. Physicists and scientists in general, despite their confidence (and sometimes because of it) are as uncertain in their hearts as anyone -- but who can promote themselves today based on an honest uncertainty? I'm afraid I'm not very good at it either, though I try to address it when I'm able to fight through my own projections. But, it seems that we're all so small and insignificant that we have more need to deny it than accept it. I think that's one of the conscious purposes of theology; where our self-appointed notions of divinity come from. By that, I mean that I think we share in a divine nature, but we seem convinced that it's somehow more divine in us than the rest of nature; this, I think, is not only the major obstacle in connecting with our divinity but diminishes it greatly.
One of the reasons Jung's work is so important to me is that it gives me an opportunity to look at both sides in ways I couldn't have done without it. Your statement also resonates with me: "An event happens! as we move through time and grow older with multiple perspectives and experiences a historical event actually changes..."
I don't think we'll ever "hit the target", but I think we can view more of the richness of the painting nature draped over our eyes with a little more awareness of our own natures. The religious right, the Middle East, politics in general, and our current commercial trends frighten me -- but not as much as it scares me to think about where my daughter (and her children) may end up through an accelerated consciousness whose aims are even more ill-defined and dangerous (in my humble opinion) than at any time in the past. For those reasons, I consider Jung's psychology to have been a very synchronistic event in human history.

Hi Leslie: Thanks so much for your willingness to share a video in the Ritual Space group. Since it's on a technical topic, rather than responding to your question there, I'll answer you here and maybe others can also benefit from reading about the process.
You may already know all of this so please forgive if I'm being redundant.
Unfortunately, posting videos on the Alliance--as on many web sites--is not optimal due to the size of the videos. This is really the reason sites like YouTube exist and specialize in hosting video because they have the capacity to do so.
Thus, currently the best (and only) way to post a video on the Alliance anywhere is to to use "embed" code to do so. That means, yes, it needs to first "live" somewhere on the web in a video service like YouTube, Vimeo, or Hulu. They each offer those embed codes for the purpose of placing them elsewhere.
I'm very sorry it's so limiting--and I hope you find a way to post your video on YouTube and then embed it here. I'd really love to see it. You can post by going into the group, clicking "Add a discussion" at the bottom of the discussion forum, and then click on the tiny icon that looks like movie film above the discussion box that opens. When you click that icon, it offers a place to past the embed code. Once you're done, the video image appears IN the discussion box. Then you can comment and save below.

As to Zurich, Interesting that what many think of as the "home place" would be the more "liberal" site.
Also interesting in the German/American stance. I hear Freud/Jung decrying the American emphasis on "practical usage" of psychological practice. My naive image of Germany is not much different.

Do you have a picture of the work you speak of? I know it will not be near the level of power "in the small" but if you can, I'd enjoy seeing it. Also, you state that you are not sure what you can add to the Alliance. Even your answers to the introductory questions have added much to my enjoyment of the Alliance.
