WITNESSING TREE SPIRITS  IN ORDINARY REALITY

Our property on the Bay of Quinte is home to several species of native trees. In one area we call the glen, we’ve been witnessing an ongoing onslaught by invasive insects. Over a period of three to four years we watched helplessly as the ash trees slowly lost their battles to the Ash Borer Beetle. It bores pencil holes into the bark, then tunnels under it, robbing the trees of vital sap. Simultaneous attacks by tent caterpillars forced the trees to leaf out twice in the same season depleting their reserves.

The first tree to come down was a 60 foot specimen that was still mostly alive when we felled it. It came down with a heavy thud that shook the little glen, and sent my son and me running for cover.  We bucked the branches and left the trunk for another day.

Three nights later I awoke around 4:30 AM for a bathroom visit, and became wide awake afterwards. Since it was a mild October night, I put on my bathrobe and slippers in the dark, and decided to walk down to the glen to make a rare, early morning meditation.

As I descended into the glen I hit something. I had forgotten about the felled tree laying in the middle of the very dark glen. Even though my eyes were dark adapted, I did not see the branches lying on the ground until I walked into them. As I peered into the darkness before me, my eyes took in a faint ribbon of light stretching away from me for many feet into the night’s darkness. I had to take a few steps back to catch my breath and regain my balance.

Puzzled, I walked back up to the rim of the glen from where I could see that there were no patches of low-lying fog forming anywhere down in the glen. The night sky above was clear and starlit, and I could not see any sky shine from other ground sources. I gave the long sliver of glowing light a wide berth so as not to disturb it, as I walked around to approach it from another angle to see if I could discover its source and extent.  This time as I got closer, I could make out a soft grey-blue  glow hovering over the full length of the carcass of the tree. As my mind took in the significance of the scene my head dropped intuitively out of respect for what I knew in my heart was a lifeforce leaving the dying tree. I said some words of regret, and my body started to shake with excitement or cold, as I sat in quiet wonder.

The glow disappeared as the morning light entered the glen. I rushed to the house to investigate the strange light on-line.  My cursory research suggested that the grey-blue glow fit the pattern for bioluminescence from decaying organic matter. The common name is Foxfire or Will ‘o the Wisp, and it was documented long ago. The usual sources are decaying matter and fungi, and the glow is so faint that it can only be observed if your eyes have been dark adapted. Apparently, the light is produced by a pair of special enzymes present in decaying matter which react with each other to release biophotons of soft light. After discussing the tree’s eerie glow with an experienced woodsmen and chemist, I chose the simple explanation that the light I had observed that morning came from rotting sawdust created under the ash bark by destructive beetle activity.

A few days later I started to dissect the trunk for firewood, and I noticed how thick the bark was, and how little actual sawdust had been produced by the beetle invaders. The amount of sawdust under the bark was trivial, and it just didn’t seem possible that so little organic matter could produce all the light that I had observed. In addition, the bark was so thick that it would surely absorb all the light photons completely. More compelling, was the sudden realization that the rest of the ash trees that were still standing were equally infected, but they did not give off any visible light emissions on that night. As the realization sank in; that the eerie glow over the dying ash tree was most likely its life force or spirit leaving the dying carcass, it sent a chill up my spine.

I consulted some of the top forestry research and management experts in Canada, who ruled out an explosion of the Armillaria fungus, that glows in the dark forest, and can spread over large areas of forest floor and acts as a communication system for trees. It became clear that the unusual glow could not be explained satisfactorily by natural processes. I reviewed my personal impressions as I witnessed the event, keeping in mind that my human presence in the glen could have perturbed the natural electromagnetic field energies present on that morning. The physical evidence I observed that morning informed me (mentally and spiritually) that spirits live  in trees. Why is there no documentation of this anywhere? Can only autistic eyes discern spirits and things that glow in the night? Now I see trees differently. Wherever there are trees, there is abundant life. They’re like living fasteners that connect the sky with the earth. Because they live in both worlds, they act as a conduit of communication between them.

FMRI studies reveal that consciousness is still measurably present after the brain/body has died, telling us that consciousness is not the result of biological processes. Science supports the theory that trees have intelligence, because trees have been observed to mount organized defences against a deadly threat like invading insects. Planning and strategizing require creative thought.

When the rest of the ash group is felled this spring, they will hopefully provide more opportunities to study this undocumented phenomenon, perhaps with a night vision camera.

Shamanic and other spiritual cultures around the world honour and use sacred trees as: portals or gateways to hidden worlds, sources of wisdom, and even wish fulfillment. To name just a few, the Mohawks of North America honour the cedar as the sacred tree of life. The Caribe natives honour the ceiba tree, and West African’s have spiritual relationships with the iroko tree.

The visible light emissions coming from the ash tree trunk 3 days after it was cut down, proved to me with high confidence that trees have a spiritual nature that gives them life, and it can be observed and possibly documented under the right conditions.

PAIN IS THE LUBRICANT THAT OPENS AND CLOSES GATEWAYS. FOR MILLENNIAE, PAIN HAS BEEN INFLICTED ON HUMAN SOCIETIES BY THOSE WHO WOULD HAVE THEIR WAY WITH THEM, IN ORDER TO CONTROL AND MANIPULATE. THEY LED HUMANITY INTO THE DEPRAVITY OF SACRIFICING THEIR OWN CHILDREN TO ADVANCE AN UNSEEN AGENDA. LIKE THE GLOBAL EMF FIELDS USED TO "DUMB DOWN" HUMANITY INTO THE FOG OF CONFUSION AND FORGETTFULNESS, PAIN MAKES US CRAZY! THE STATE OF PAIN [ACUTE AND CHRONIC], IS A NON-RATIONAL STATE.

Pain that drives us beyond our normal physical/mental limits into mental swamplands governed by chaos, forces us, prods us like livestock, to become something that we did not chose.

Pain causes us to shrink, contract, and retreat from the world for self defence.

When chronic pain drives us into a daily pattern [habit?] of living with pain at an early age, the pattern of pain becomes self repeating, and eventually pain become a  core value of the personality simply because it's there! We become addicted to the pain, because we used some of it to fashion our spiritual nest, where we live most of the time.

As  more Pain is accumulated, we identify with it more and more, until it becomes the base layer of our personality.

HOW DOES SPIRIT SEPARATE FROM MATTER, AND WHERE CAN WE OBSERVE THIS?

The following excerpt is taken from the White Goddess website, entitled "Paganism 101".

 -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Benu Bird in Magic

The following spell from the Egyptian Book of the Dead is one for being transformed into a phoenix or Benu Bird.

Spell 83: Spell for being transformed into a phoenix.

I have flown up like the primeval ones,
I have become Khepri,
I have grown as a plant,
I have clad myself as a tortoise,
I am the essence of every God,
I am the seventh of those seven Uraei who came into being in the West,
Horus who makes the brightness with his person,
That God who was against Seth,
Thoth who was among you in that judgement of Him who presides over Letopolis together with the Souls of Heliopolis,
The flood which was between them.

I have come on the day when I appear in glory with the strides of the gods,
For I am Khons who subdued the Lords.
As for him who knows this pure spell,
It means going out into the day after death and being transformed at will,
Being in the suite of Wennefer
Being content with the food of Osiris,
Having invocation offerings,
Seeing the sun;
It means being hale on earth with Re and being vindicated with Osiris,
And nothing evil shall have power over him
A matter a million times true.

From at least the reign of Tutankhamun, the heron or Benu Bird appears on heart scarabs. These amulets were used to protect the heart, which was considered the source of life by the ancient Egyptians.

Formula for [reciting over] a heart of carnelian recited by [name of deceased]

I am the benu, ba-soul of Ra,
He who leads the blessed to the Underworld,
He who has Osiris return to earth,
To do what his ka-spirit desires,
Who has [name of deceased] return to earth,
To do what his ka-spirit desires.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

AS ABOVE SO BELOW

Some of the natural processes that we observe around us every day, like the simple movement of the sun and moon across the sky, are clues designed to inform us of the profound processes that command our lives in this 3rd dimension, material world.

Since the stone age, the warm and nurturing sun has been recognized as a source of life, and worshipped as a god or deity by many cultures. Our ancestors sensed it as the great spirit in the sky, and while it was gone, they lived in darkness with fear and confusion, until it returned again.

As the sun ascends on the eastern horizon each morning, it appears to separate itself from earth and the image it creates is of a large ball of energy [spirit], rising up from the landscape [matter]. Pictorially, it depicts the moment of what we call death, when each human spirit is released from its material vehicle, to return to the All That Is.

There is one thing missing from that image though, and that is the role of the etheric layer that stores and feeds the other bodies with a selection of prana. This density of this layer of etheric energy is extremely low, and it penetrates the physical body and acts as a connective layer. Apparently, it has to separate from the physical and dissipate, before the spirit is released from the physical body.

In my Phoenix bird artwork at the bottom, I painted the funeral flames closest to the egg in a light shade of magenta, to represent the etheric layer in the funeral pyre. It depicts the moment of separation between the egg [spirit], and the pyramid [matter]. I believe this is the correct arrangement taught by eastern mahatmas.

Q - How does watching a simple, everyday sunrise inform us of our spiritual journey into and out of matter?

A - The ancients saw it with a clearer vision, but we can see it too. The sun is spirit, and every morning it rises up and separates from the earth [matter]. It moves across the great unknown sky, and descends to earth or returns to matter at the end of its daily cycle or life. Here it waits for the next cycle to begin.

Q - Based on this understanding, what does a moon rise represent?

A - The moon represents our dark side. It's our subconscious shadow self which is not easily recognized, understood, or tolerated by our conscious mind, perhaps because they speak different languages. Just as the sun is a symbol of our conscious spiritual life which is relatively well ordered on earth, the moon is a symbol of our subconscious life, that is pushed and pulled by chaos, and hidden forces, weird characters, and agendas.

IT IS WITH GREAT JOY THAT I ANNOUNCE THE LAUNCH OF THE NEW PHOENIX  [for the 21st century]

The agent of RENEWAL, REBIRTH, RESURRECTION...new life rising spontaneously from the ashes of old life.....and of course spiritual transformation...IS BACK!

This species of ancient mythical bird has become entangled with several origin stories. The bennu bird that nests on the ben ben stone, and clapped the beginning of creation, the Nile heron that ushered in the annual flood that gave new life [rebirth] to Egypt each year, and the Firebird that flies from Arabia, and regenerates new life from old in a burst of flames.

Life renews itself all around us, every nanosecond of every day, but there have been many reports describing extraordinary historic events that have come to symbolize rebirth and renewal in a very dramatic way.

Since antiquity, the Phoenix Bird has been interpreted as the symbol of hope, for rebirth and renewal of life. Early Christians who believed in reincarnation until it was banned by Constantine in 325 CE, used the Phoenix on their gravestones.

My reconstruction of the phoenix has been guided by today's understandings and needs.

  • This Phoenix wears the colours of the morning sunrise to show its relationship with the rising sun.
  • Several shades of magenta raise the energy of the Phoenix to the level of spiritual joy.
  • The blue triangles in its tail symbolize male and female energy in balance.
  • Seven amethyst crystals adorn the bird's body. Amethyst heals spiritual wounds.
  • The funeral pyre [below], depicts the separation of spirit [yellow] from matter [blue], as the final step when spirit returns home to the All That Is.

For me, the creation process was a meditative journey during which I blessed the sacred bird during every stage of its construction. I release it to the world, that it may bring hope and joy to all, especially the children of the world, who will see and understand it's simple message.

THE PHOENIX COMETH...

The final stage of spiritual transformation is being prepared by assembling the sunrise colours of resurrection...and organizing them into melodious wings that will spirit us away to the next leg of our journey.

HOW DO OUR SOCIAL DELUSIONS GROW INTO HARMFUL SOCIAL DISEASES?

In simple terms...there's an abundance of historic proof in the form of thousands of years of destructive human colonization, that a supremacist gene has been encoded in our DNA, which emerges under the right conditions to harm us, and others.

Social delusions are: unfounded ideas and beliefs, misconceptions, embedded fears and anxieties, egoic  fantasies, all woven together into a false internal narrative that supports a narrow local and world view, which we accept as reality and use to guide our lives.

Social diseases - When social delusions are created and imposed on us by others, they function like social diseases that drive us apart, and force us to make war against each other. We become "infected with these social diseases", and spread them to others. Once these powerful social diseases become embedded, they become systemic. They shut down or overpower our rational minds, and drive us compulsively, until we become like the mindless charging bull, that no one can reason with, or stop.

To name just a few better known historic social delusions that were spread like destructive social diseases...

  1. Roman Empire - "Invicta",  was the social delusion expressed as "Unconquered Rome", which grew into the social disease known as Roman supremacy over all others.
  2. British Empire - "Rule Britannia" when Britain ruled the seas, it provided unfettered access to indigenous lands that were ruled with absolute British supremacy.
  3. German Empire - "Deutschland Uber Alles" was Germany's social delusion of supremacy over all others, that led it to attempt to colonize and oppress Europe, USSR, and Asia.
  4. American Empire - "American Exceptionalism" is a euphemism for supremacy - to conceal the immorality and criminality of imposing American military supremacy on defenseless nations, for so called, US "national interests" by rich corporate elites who rule America from the back room. Dick CheneyExceptional: Why the World Needs a Powerful America (2015).[40]

When harmful or destructive social delusions are nurtured over time, instead of being corrected and neutralized with truth, they become part of the fabric of our societies, where they continue to undermine and impede community health and social progress. Colonial settlements are slow to evolve and advance socially because they self isolate to protect themselves against anticipated retaliation by their hosts, who will return someday to demand inevitable justice.

HUMAN MUSIC EMERGED AS A NATURAL DEFENCE AGAINST ENVIRONMENTAL THREATS, and COULD HEAL OUR SPIRITUAL WOUNDS.

In Nunavik, northern Canada, two Inuit women standing outside, hold and face each other and begin to make music the way it’s been made since the stone age, when humans tried to copy the sounds of nature, vocally.

In Tuva, northern Russia, young Tuvan men learn from childhood, how to herd animals, and make music. They learn how to use circular breathing and how to condition their throats to reverberate the sounds that they hear in nature.

In southeast Africa, the Xhosa [Bantu] people also developed throat singing called “eefing” often performed in groups. It produces a wordless vocal style used to accompany “a call and response” and performed by groups.

Global physical evidence informs us that humans have a music gene, that demands to be expressed in the most fundamental way by our bodies. Throat singers tell us that they use their whole bodies to make sounds, and they’re able to tune their body-instruments to produce wonderful harmonies.

All of these indigenous groups existed on harsh or hostile landscapes, where they had to face many natural challenges like respiratory diseases, and other threats to their lives. Over many generations they may have discovered from observing each other, that some things are good to do,  because they seem to produce a good or desirable effect, ie: “Gee, that feels good, I think I’ll do it again…” Certain types of human activity were deemed helpful, or good to do. And the process of discovery may have been as simple as observing that Fred Flintstone and his family make funny sounds every day, and never seem to be sick. Early shamans may have explored some of these human activities and discovered their health benefits.

What health benefits could possibly emerge from throat singing or vibrating your throat?

There’s much more than spongy grey matter in our heads. Our head space also houses the upper respiratory tract, a protective system designed to filter out and kill airborne pathogens, ie: environmental threats that can kill us. But this defence against viruses and airborne risks needs to be tuned and activated.

Nitric Oxide [NO], is an antimicrobial chemical produced in our bodies in response to pathogen invasion. Our upper respiratory tract produces Nitric Oxide [NO], and that production is triggered by sneezing, and humming [vibrating]. Nitric oxide protects us against environmental threats like deadly pathogens, and humming has been shown to produce 15 times the natural release of NO, to flood our upper respiratory tract.

Humming or throat singing, may have evolved as a natural defence against respiratory infection and disease. Those individuals or groups that began to practice throat music on a regular basis may have connected this practice with improved health, and longevity…ie: “See that old woman over there, she’s over 40 years old and she still sings every morning.”

Humming and throat singing strengthened the immune systems of these intrepid people, to protect them in some of the most dangerous environments on this planet.

BODY MUSIC COULD BECOME A NATURAL HEALING PROCESS

If we step deeper into this practice, we see potential for healing....

Those of us who are on a healing journey may discover that we've become so fragmented and split off from our true selves because of past traumas, that we find it very difficult, almost impossible to reconnect with those precious aspects of ourselves that we gave up, or abandoned.

A Proposed Technique:

Imagine [envision] yourself standing alone in darkness.

Allow a sense of pervading aloneness to flow over you until you can't tolerate any more.

Relax, open your throat gateway, and allow yourself to sink down into your feelings of loneliness. Allow the emotional pressure to grow until it becomes so great, and you feel a physical need to let out the first sounds that carry your loneliness out of your body and out into the darkness.

Somewhere in your lower mind [primordial mind?], a response comes forward. Without thinking, allow it to emerge naturally, and take its place in front of you as your mirror self.

Reach out towards this reflection of yourself to welcome and embrace it with your body.

Release some sound, and wait for a response. If no response is heard or felt, try again, and again....until something emerges.

Once you sense some level of contact with your reflection, make small sounds from your vast emotional inventory of sounds, until your soul tells you're going the right way. Allow your intuition to guide you towards yourself.

This outreach to your lost fragments will be spoken in the language of soul sounds....you know this language because you created it while in your other conscious states.

Once you sense that you are one with your reflection, you can being a healing dialogue of sounds that seems to work iteratively, as you work through the traumas that split you up. You can start with welcoming sounds that you create consciously to bring your reflection into more intimate contact, before the real music of reconciliation can begin.

Sounds that carry and release great wounds can be healed by sound responses from the reflection, as the two parts reintegrate to become one.

IS CULTURAL CONDITIONING POWERFUL ENOUGH TO SHUTDOWN OUR INNATE SPIRITUAL WISDOM?

VIETNAM, AFGHANISTAN, IRAQ, PANAMA, HAITI, PALESTINE....all victims of American terrorism recognized as "the use of violence and threats of violence to gain political control over indigenous nations and their land wealth."

                                                   [ Thanks to WashingtonTimes]

Siddhartha, the great buddha grew up in isolation from the suffering and death of humanity. Once he saw it, his reaction was to deal with it by creating a spiritual path that would take humanity away from the lower desires that resulted in much of human suffering.

Growing up in a violent culture conditions you incrementally to live in a state of violence, which becomes the main response to many of life's problems and challenges.

How does cultural conditioning shape our perspective and our responses?

1. Imagine a battlefield covered with the dead and dying bodies of men who were driven to kill each other by their leaders for [political, religious, ethnic, or economic] reasons that none of them really understood, because only the architects of war know the real agenda.

2. A general begins to tour the battlefield. His life in the military system has exposed him repeatedly to the this scene and many others where human life has been degraded to nothing more than combative entities out to destroy each other like programmed robots. As he walks among the dead and dying, he counts the bodies to determine the victor in his latest campaign of human violence. As he finishes and prepares to leave, he plants his flag in the ground, and declares the battlefield where men spilled human blood in anger, as "sacred ground" in a vain attempt to ennoble a depraved event .

3. A ten year old boy who has never seen human violence appears at the edge of the battlefield. As he begins to walk through the bloody nightmare of human carnage, he sees dead men whose bodies were violated with violence; decapitated, dismembered, and disemboweled, like pieces of meat on a butcher's table. Human life had been reduced to blood and bone with no higher value. He saw the look of disbelief, confusion, and despair on the young faces of the dying who had never tasted life. With their last breath they called out to their mamas for comfort, understanding, and wisdom. The little boy stopped walking, fell to the ground, and his body started to heave with convulsions. His body and soul reacted physically and spiritually to the human depravity he had witnessed, and he began to throw up on the bloody ground. His body and soul were still sensitive to the life force, and not been deadened through a lifetime of exposure to human violence. They  reacted in unison to the criminality of what they had observed on the battlefield, where sacred human life had been driven into the darkness of combat, and defiled by violence, fear, and hate.

The soul knows all the universal laws, and it reacts intuitively when it sees the criminal activity of generals and their leaders who use false authority to advance their agendas with human violence. As the little boy crawls off the battlefield, he declares it cursed, because human blood spilled in anger defiles holy ground, rather than blessing it.

WHEN WE BREATHE THROUGH OUR MOUTHS, WE BYPASS IMPORTANT ON-BOARD RESPIRATORY PROTECTION PROVIDED BY OUR NOSES. NASAL BREATHING PROVIDES A SIGNFICANT LEVEL OF RESPIRATORY PROTECTION AGAINST COVID INFECTION.

Breathing expert James Nestor, investigates how our respiratory systems function, and how to improve on bad breathing habits which often inhibit: physical, emotional, and mental wellness.

Nestor also brings us important "breathing science" which is being explored by medical investigators, and some important facts have been discovered regarding how our respiratory systems become infected with viruses like the coronavirus that produces COVID disease.

According to Nestor, many of us breathe through our mouths during most of our waking hours, bypassing the respiratory protection provided by nasal breathing. Mouth breathing versus nasal breathing could explain the mystery of why some people become infected while moving through an environment in which the air and surfaces are contaminated with the coronavirus microbe, while others don't.

Nasal breathing means inhaling room air through our nose and into our nasal passageways where this raw air is: warmed, humidified and "made safe" for consumption by the rest of the body.

The Upper Respiratory Tract [in our heads] is designed with an elaborate filtration system consisting of: sticky mucous and cilia hairs that line convoluted pathways and mazes, to remove impurities in the air including dangerous pathogens like the coronavirus microbe [COVID-19].

[ Thank you Pearson Education Inc.]

When stimulated, the Upper Respiratory system produces a chemical vasodilator known as nitric oxide [NO], which also kills pathogens. Every time you sneeze, this chemical floods the nasal passages, and interacts with pathogens to kill them.

Body science tells us to keep our mouths shut when we find ourselves in a potentially contaminated environment.  Good examples of potentially contaminated places are hospital and shopping mall public washroom where various pathogens are constantly released. If you find yourself in a shopping mall and you really have to go, but you forgot to bring a face mask, just shut your mouth and go. Keep your mouth closed in contaminated places to avoid infection.

Breathing science also says that humming  [vibrating our throats], produces about 15 times the amount of protective nitric oxide. So if you find yourself using a public washroom without a face mask, be sure to hum all the time that you're there.

                                                      [Thanks to Microbesinfect]

Q - Who Should Lead the National COVID Response?

A - The national response to the COVID pandemic should be led by contamination control experts like me, who have managed many airborne and surface contamination events in the nuclear and medical industries. We walk in and take over, when learned medics and other professionals get in over their heads, turn white with fear, and head for cover. We deal with the serious contamination disasters produced by others.

We know how respiratory virus are spread and how to stop them, because we have studied the dynamics of airborne dispersion, and we understand the stopping power of mask technology, which most medics [WHO and CDC], have failed to study, understand, and master.

WHEN WILL WASHINGTON STOP TERRORISING THE INNOCENT PEOPLE OF AFGHANISTAN WITH MILITARY VIOLENCE, AND BEGIN TO PAY REPARATIONS FOR THE ITS SLAUGHTER OF AFGHANIS, AND DESTRUCTION OF THEIR COUNTRY?

UNPROVOKED US TERRORISM AGAINST THE INNOCENT PEOPLE OF AFGHANISTAN WHO BORE NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR 9/11, TAUGHT SUPREMACIST AMERICANS LIKE DEREK CHAUVIN TO USE DESTRUCTIVE VIOLENCE [PUBLIC TERRORISM], WITH COOL DEFIANCE AGAINST INNOCENT CIVILIANS, IN THE FACE OF PUBLIC OPPOSITION AND GLOBAL CONDEMNATION.

As US President Joe Biden begins to remove all US terrorists from Afghanistan, I will repeat what I've been saying since 2001...[and I'm tired of saying it, but here it is again]...

"AMERICAN TERRORISM" is the criminal use of violence and threats of violence to gain political control over indigenous nations and their wealth. Violent takeovers by US government forces are nothing more than massive operations in which the military plays the criminal role of "the armed robber".

This American version of colonization has been central to its longitudinal criminal process that began in the 18th century when angry Americans overthrew their own colonial government. This war for independence from British Supremacy was, followed by the violent overthrow of every indigenous and foreign government that has refused to submit to, or comply with the American agenda of political dominance.

Today, the US military occupies hundreds of nations with 757 military bases poised to do violence against them,  in order to control their wealth.

Constructing the American Empire with new Social Delusions promoted as: freedom, human rights, and democracy, and with military: "Shock and Awe" violence, has been just as inhumanely destructive as constructing the British Empire with genocidal land theft.

A complicit American and British press enables and supports bad governance!

THE SOURCE OF EXCESSIVE POLICE VIOLENCE APPEARS TO BE "USE OF FORCE TRAINING", PROVIDED BY CYNICAL INSTRUCTORS WITH DANGEROUS TRIBAL PERSPECTIVES.

How do police officers who ostensibly join up with a pure heart, and swear to protect the public, end up abusing it time after time? Poor training?

Instead of making peace, many peace officers escalate a trivial situation into a violent or deadly one? Poor training?

Today, the defence for Derek Chauvin called Use of Force Expert, Barry Brodd, a long time instructor in use of force for the local Police Academy. He took the stand in support of Chauvin's behaviour that day. Perhaps he shares responsibility with Chauvin, and should also be charged with Floyd's death, since he was probably "THE" source of "use of force training" for all four guys who attacked and killed black artist George Floyd.

Mr. Brodd gave his opinion that Chauvin acted according to his training, and everything he saw from the body cams was more or less "acceptable practice" according to the rules they teach. Surprisingly, Brodd did not consider "handcuffing during the prone position" as a use of force, but a control. He supported Chauvin's use of force and how it was applied, and that it was completely justifiable. He supported how Chauvin went in, took charge of the situation, and escalated it, when Floyd appeared uncooperative (confused).

[As a former trainer in the nuclear and medical industry, I know that training usually provides basic theoretical information, but equally important, is the "professional perspective" that training provides. To a novice entering the industry, the senior people he meets during training provide a framework that includes, how the industry functions and how it fits into society. The professional attitude is often imprinted and acquired early in a young person's career. So much so, that in academia it is often asked, who did you study with, to get an idea of how this persons thinking may have been shaped in his earlier years.]

What the prosecutors failed to point out early unfortunately, was how the police approached Floyd's vehicle. What was to be a few questions, began as an assault with weapons drawn and pointing in Floyd's face before they asked the first question. They were informed that Floyd was under the influence of a distorting agent.

Leader Chauvin knew from experience how black men react when targeted by police, and they knew that they could stampede Floyd into doing something irrational while in his drug-foggy state. They were escalating a delicate situation into an opportunity for Chauvin's team to shoot Floyd.

If Shooting Fails - Choke!

When the shooting option did not materialize because a paranoid Floyd refused to get into the Police Vehicle, team leader Chauvin decided to make a show of frightened and confused George on the ground 2. Against his own men's emerging questions, Chauvin ordered Floyd into a prolonged prone position. When Chauvin heard the crowd grow angry with loud protests as they watched him apply his knee to the vulnerable neck of George Floyd, he became determined to show the crowd who controlled what happens on the streets of Minneapolis. Chauvin heard the angry crowd and reacted in a show of Police Supremacy. His defiant face, with sunglasses perched casually on his head, shows his smug control, as instructed he squeezes the life out of Mr. Floyd. He knew the possible consequences of his knee, and he may have intended to just knock Floyd unconcious, but he had passed that stage when Floyd stopped talking long ago.

Who Intervenes When the Law Turns Criminal?

In defiance of the protesting black crowd that was noticeably angry, Chauvin terrorized both the angry public on the sidewalks, as well as those watching on many public cameras. The moment by gruesome moment debacle was Chauvin's 9/11 event, his show of total supremacy over black America as it stood and watched in horror as the local law paid and support to protect its citizens, turned criminal and had its brutal way with everyone.
