We will meet at Peet's Coffee at 3:00 - 3:15 p.m. The display of 50 altars is across the street. Poetry readings and other events are scheduled to be going on concurrently. The event will be about 2 hours and guests are welcome! Afterwards, if you're interested, you're welcome to join me for a bite to eat and possibly a walk down to the Latino Art & Cultural Center to see other exhibits.
A public altar is available and you are welcome to bring an offering and partake in the ritual. "New this year, the Galería will create a community altar for the public to place offerings. The public is invited to bring candles, photographs, bread, other foods, flowers, toys and other symbolic offerings for loved ones who have passed away."
