STANLEY KRIPPNER, Ph.D., is professor ofpsychology at Saybrook Graduate School in San Francisco where he designed many of the courses in the consciousness/spiritualityconcentration. He holds faculty appointmentsat the International Holistic University in Brazil and at the Institute for Medicine and Advanced Behavioral Technology in Juarez, Mexico where he helped create the certificateprograms in human sexuality and in rational-emotive behavior therapy. He is a member of the advisory board for the International School for Psychotherapy, Counseling andGroup Leadership (St. Petersburg) and hasgiven invited addresses to the ChineseAcademy of Sciences, the Russian Academy ofPedagogical Sciences and the Artigas ForeignService Institute, Montevideo, Uruguay.In 1985, Mr. Krippner received a Universityof Georgia Bicentennial Award, in 1992 theCharlotte and Karl Buhler Award from APADivision 32, in 1998 the Pathfinder Awardfrom the Association from HumanisticPsychology, in 2000 a Senior ContributorAward from APA Division 17, and in 2002the Award for Distinguished Contributions toProfessional Hypnosis from Division 30, andAPAs Award for Distinguished Contributionsto the International Advancementof Psychology.A noted lecturer, fellow and author of over1,000 books, articles, monographs, chaptersand book reviews in over a dozen languages,he recently edited (with Teresa M. McIntyre)The Psychological Effects of War on Civilians:An International Perspective.Mr. Krippner has conducted workshops andseminars on personal mythology, dreams,hypnosis and/or anomalous phenomena allover the world.Fourth Annual International Gathering of Pachakuti Mesa Carriers.
