Please share a little about yourself by way of introduction. What draws you to Depth Psychology and what are you looking for from this community?
In 2005 I began seeing a Depth Psychology therapist whose soulful care brought me to return to school. I have previous masters in Art Therapy, but found the jungian approach of embodying the image vs. interpretation spoke loudly to me. The transcendent function of creativity has reshaped my life repeatedly as I have healed through loss of my family of origin. I was greatly impacted in my studies at Pacifica, and exploring this field with my cohort, and would like to continue to build that foundation as I delve into this vocation.
Do you belong to any other online Psychology-related communities or orgs? If so, which?

Hi Traci. Greetings and a (somewhat belated) welcome to the online depth psychology community! I'm so glad you've joined us. It's lovely to learn your story of seeing the depth therapist and finding the Jungian approach to Art Therapy.
As you may know, we currently have nearly 1800 members from all over the world and we're growing. I hope as you explore the community a bit you find a dynamic group of like-minded people who are all deeply drawn by the field of depth psychology. While there are many Jungian analysts and clinical psychologists here, our members come from various walks of life including artists, writers, doctors, scientists, healing professionals, counselors, students, business people, etc--so there is much cross-disciplinary knowledge and experience here to be shared.
On that note, there are many opportunities to engage as you browse the site. When you're ready to jump in, please feel free to post a topic for discussion in the forum, respond to someone else's post, or share a link to an article or web site you like.
