"What is Depth Psychology?" DISCUSSION GROUP

This group exists as a place to further and expand on the inquiry into the role of depth psychology, now and in the future; for clinicians and non-clinicians. It is intended to look at what role it plays in our individual lives as well as in the culture, and how we might "take depth psychology to the streets" as an offering to help restore balance in a world that is currently out of balance on so many levels. Anyone can add thoughts, comments, questions, images, links, articles, etc. that you…See More

I have been a student of Jung since 1983. I have been writing my personal myth since 1991. I would hope to gain a degree of "socialization of Self" with like-individuating souls.
I have recently published (8) hardover books-- including a trilogy of memoir, poetry, novel, and novella covering 20 years of personal mythmaking-- to (8) paperbacks on Amazon here:

Greetings Pamela and welcome to the online depth psychology community. It's great to have you here! You have been on this path of depth for a considerable period of time and your contributions and reflections will be of great value to many in the community here.

As you may know, we currently have nearly 2500 members from all over the world. I hope as you explore the community a bit you find a dynamic group of like-minded people who are all deeply drawn by the field of depth psychology. While there are many Jungian analysts and clinical psychologists here, our members come from many walks of life--artists, writers, doctors, healing professionals, counselors, students, business people, etc--so there is much cross-disciplinary knowledge and experience here to be shared.

On that note, there are many opportunities to engage as you browse the site. To begin with, please take a moment to upload a personal photo to your profile and to introduce yourself in the forum. You can also post a topic for discussion there, respond to someone else's post, or share a link to an article or web site you like, or comment on your current work or ask a question.

In case you need detailed help getting started and navigating the site, you can use the following link----http://www.depthpsychologyalliance.com/page/navigating-the-site please don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions at all.

I look forward to seeing you around the community.

My well wishes to you on the journey ahead,

Mark (Board member)
