"Lisa, I appreciate your feedback. Based on my research of Haden I knew it was less Christian-centric than it appears on the web site but did have a bit of hesitation when I read over the schedule for this year along those very lines. Several of the…"
"The Haden Institute in Western NC has posted the info for their Summer Dream Conference. Dates are May 29 - June 3. I will probably go as a commuter and just cherry pick the events that interest me the most. Anyone else going, or been in the past?"
"Thank you for your input, Dorene. I should say that I have worked with it, but I can't seem to get above the literal, current day, personal level with it, and as you've perceived, there is a much more vast and "haunting" quality…"
"I can not tell you how good that made me feel, Bonnie. I chuckled loudly. That same scathing voice has been saying every single one of those things to me, plus a few others, and to know I am in such good company in my litany of self-perceived,…"
"There is a haunting quality about this dream for me, Laura. For some reason, with this dream--unlike other dreams that have been posted in the group--I feel awkward about unpacking it before you have worked on it yourself. However, you asked, so…"
Hi All,I believe I am going to incorporate this dream of 1/28/11 into a short presentation I will be giving to my cohort next week at Pacifica. I have not worked with it very much at all as my dream life is fast and furious, along with much movement in my waking life, so I'm not going to decode it here, just to offer it up for any and all intuitive hits. I hope this is acceptable? I don't want to offer any backstory or pick it apart to any great length at this point in terms of what I toss out.…See More
This group has been archived due to inactivityI'd like to invite others to share responses and experiences as we delve together into Jung's Red Book. We'll begin at the start of Liber Primus and work through the Red Book ten pages a week sharing personal responses to Jung's grand experiment.See More
You're most welcome for the videos posted. They are all wonderful uses of time. And thanks for the nudge about Jung in the South. We emailed about it waaay back when I was brand new and I'm probably still in the same place except…"
"Thank you for the videos you posted, especially the series. I get frustrated when I watch a video that is one of ____ and references are made to the others in the series. Having the whole series is a joy. Thanks again.
"This is a beautiful well-crafted film with amazing imagery and content--clearly a "must-watch" for anyone interested in Jung and in Dream and Symbol. Looking forward to watching the other four in the series... If anyone has watched them,…"
"I'm so excited that you have family in Napa, Laura!!!! Let's make a deal--when you're out here visiting them, do call me. I'll come to you, as it's quite close. Love to have lunch and spend some time sharing our similar…"
"Barbara, so glad you joined! Please jump in. You'll see that Dorene has great groups going in Dreams and the Numinous. I started a discussion on Addictions and the Numinous recently that covers a few basis so far (archetypes and astrology) but…"

You bet, I wanna be friends! I'm so jealous that you're at Pacifica. If I had boatloads of money and a couple more decades to live, I'd camp out there. What an astonishing place. Are you attending the Hillman weekend that's coming up in March? I am. If you're going to be there, I'd love to say hello.
Isn't Rilke fabulous? I have often wondered what it would have been like to experience the world through his eyes. I think the same thing about Mary Oliver. And, then, David Whyte. And then, and then, and then . . . oh, yeah! That's it--I just love good poets!!!!
I am absolutely thrilled that you've joined the group, Encountering the Numinous, Laura. I've been trying to get people to open themselves up in the intimate way that you have and, clearly, you've done it!!!! I look forward to reading your thread on addiction and joining in the fray. Thank you for your candor.
For some technical reason I wasn't able to leave you a comment in the group discussion so I'm posting it here if you don't mind. I wonder if you have any interest at all in archetypal astrology? There you get the archetypal Neptune strongly associated with spirituality as well as alcohol, for example. I think any astrologer looking for the sources of one's addictive behavior would examine Neptune's placement in the birth chart together with the Moon which is in turn linked with one's emotional nourishment. Then there is also Pluto considered responsible for all sorts of obsessive-compulsive disorders. I certainly found plenty of food for thought while analyzing my birth chart several years ago in terms of my inclination to addictive behavior :-), that is after I 'd finally managed to overcome my scepticism towards astrology in general, of course.
