Thank you for the videos you posted, especially the series. I get frustrated when I watch a video that is one of ____ and references are made to the others in the series. Having the whole series is a joy. Thanks again.
I'm so excited that you have family in Napa, Laura!!!! Let's make a deal--when you're out here visiting them, do call me. I'll come to you, as it's quite close. Love to have lunch and spend some time sharing our similar experiences. Meanwhile, I look forward to your posts on the Depth Psychology Alliance!
You bet, I wanna be friends! I'm so jealous that you're at Pacifica. If I had boatloads of money and a couple more decades to live, I'd camp out there. What an astonishing place. Are you attending the Hillman weekend that's coming up in March? I am. If you're going to be there, I'd love to say hello.
Isn't Rilke fabulous? I have often wondered what it would have been like to experience the world through his eyes. I think the same thing about Mary Oliver. And, then, David Whyte. And then, and then, and then . . . oh, yeah! That's it--I just love good poets!!!!
I am absolutely thrilled that you've joined the group, Encountering the Numinous, Laura. I've been trying to get people to open themselves up in the intimate way that you have and, clearly, you've done it!!!! I look forward to reading your thread on addiction and joining in the fray. Thank you for your candor.
For some technical reason I wasn't able to leave you a comment in the group discussion so I'm posting it here if you don't mind. I wonder if you have any interest at all in archetypal astrology? There you get the archetypal Neptune strongly associated with spirituality as well as alcohol, for example. I think any astrologer looking for the sources of one's addictive behavior would examine Neptune's placement in the birth chart together with the Moon which is in turn linked with one's emotional nourishment. Then there is also Pluto considered responsible for all sorts of obsessive-compulsive disorders. I certainly found plenty of food for thought while analyzing my birth chart several years ago in terms of my inclination to addictive behavior :-), that is after I 'd finally managed to overcome my scepticism towards astrology in general, of course.
