I have made some fundamental breakthroughs in the nature of consciousness and its relationship to astrology, including the causal factors of astrological influences. Psychology is not simple, and…Continue
I want to share some of the things I have learned about the nature of consciousness, especially as related to astrology. This is not simple, and it requires information, observations, conjecture and hypotheses from multiple fields and directions. I will begin sharing that soon. Jung could see that astrology was intimately related to human psychology, but he was not AWARE of the factors of that relationship. Thus, Jung hypothesized synchronicity, i.e. that the only relationship was a parallelism where changes in human consciousness happen to occur consistent with relative movements of the Moon, Sun, planets and stars. Not so, and the causal factors are profound in their implications.
I began to do research in astrology and consciousness in the context of the Qabalah around 1971 while in graduate school at the University of Michigan. (I finished my PhD in 1975.) I am a scientist, and apply the Scientific Method to my research. The Scientific Method requires that discovery be based on observations, either direct or indirect, so I have always made efforts to become more aware and to improve my ability to make objective and accurate observations. Why haven’t mainstream scientists done the same? I did some historical research and found the answers clearly explained in the history books.
In 2017, I finally published “Science Restored” (available on Amazon), summarizing how modern science became so limited, and providing some experimental designs to help scientists open up forbidden realms of study.
Around 2006, I wrote most of a fundamental psychology book based on my experience and research findings, but without my more recent research, most psychologists would consider it to be fantasy at best. I hope to find other scientists in the Depth Psychology Alliance who are interested in my findings, and perhaps in doing related research. Although my findings provide a good foundation to understand consciousness and astrology, there are many unanswered questions.
