Guises of Desire: Vienna 1880, a young Jewish woman, her doctor, the birth of psychoanalysis

Guises of Desire is a biographical novel based on the case of Bertha Pappenheim (Anna O). The idea germinated while I was doing an MSc in Consciousness and Transpersonal Psychology and I developed it as my project for an MA in Creative Writing. I found that as the story unfolded it seemed, almost with a will of its own, to be throwing light on two issues not generally given much attention in the literature relating to the Pappenheim case, namely the nature of her transference relationship with her doctor, Josef Breuer, and her shift from being irreligious when younger to very devout later in life. I would be very interested in discussing it with depth psychologists. It is available as an ebook on Amazon Kindle.
