Article: Why Being Near The Ocean Can Make You Calmer And More Creative

So appreciated this article which articulates something I often feel implicitly--but don't always acknowledge explicitly....

"We are beginning to learn that our brains are hardwired to react positively to water and that being near it can calm and connect us, increase innovation and insight, and even heal what's broken"....

I concur, Bonnie.

Just within the first week of relocating and acclimating to Southern California, I am definitely going with the flow more often and being more positively grateful.

I'm Cancer natal and rising, so that works for me.

Likewise Bonnie, that closeness to the ocean in particular induces a calming effect. To the point sometimes where I'd describe the experience as an altered state of consciousness! It's curious that, from a evolutionary astrology perspective, the Water element signs of Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces represent the trinity of consciousness. I recommend you delve into evolutionary astrology, if you haven't already...I think Rick Tarnas works at Pacifica too!
