Ireland will celebrate the 150th birthday of the poet W.B. Yeats on June 13th. They have invited four guest speakers and will have a wonderful “Nobel” dinner that evening since Yeats received the Nobel prize for literature.

I have been invited to travel to Ireland as one of the guest speakers, and I have chosen to speak on “Yeats and Women.” Yeats fell in love easily, and several women acted as the Muse inspiring him to write his magnificent poetry and other works.

I am looking for relevant research material on the male experience of the outer Muse. If anyone has articles, papers or suggestions of “on-line” material giving a deeper understanding of this phenomenon, I would be grateful. Since I currently live in Amsterdam in the Netherlands, book titles are useful for future reference, but will have to be ordered from overseas and will not arrive in time for this event.
