Wildfires near Pacifica

I know many Alliance members are affiliated with Pacifica in some way, or at least follow them for so many reasons. Saw this posted on Facebook today and wanted to pass it along here for those who aren't aware. Thoughts and prayers with everyone who is facing this terrible challenge or who has already lost homes, belongings or beloved pets. The stories are beginning to emerge, and my heart goes out to those who are suffering right now...

PLEASE READ-Campus Closures in Effect

Dear Pacifica Community,

We are experiencing extraordinary conditions due to the Thomas fire currently located in neighboring Ventura County. To ensure the safety and well being of all of our community we are closing Pacifica’s Lambert campuses as of 2:15 pm today. The Ladera Lane Campus has been closed as of noon. Currently we are planning to reopen Monday morning, December 11th with the usual schedule.
PLEASE NOTE: On-site classes will not be held during this time period, and, other than limited security personnel, no employees are expected to be on campus.
Some representatives from Pacifica may be working from home to serve our prospective and current students, but please note that access to data will be limited.
When business operations resume, we will alert the community via email or notices on the Pacifica website.
I personally wish each of you the best in this most difficult and uncertain situation. We will continue working together to ensure we all remain safe, secure and in good health as a community.

With best wishes,

Joe
