  • I cannot imagine any better answer to the question about where the daimon is right now, than the one contained within the  content in the above quote by James Hillman.  I can however, offer a possibility and place in and by which to locate, track, and follow one's daimon, and that is, within the map of your astrological horoscope.  Carefully "look through" the archetypal patterning of your horoscope and there you will find, see and perhaps with the help of another, know.. how to read your daimon's tracks. The images that compose the archetypal patterning of your horoscope offer a magnificent rendering  of your daimon's route, location and life purpose(s). One's daimon, it's nature, qualities, intention, purpose and goals are described vis a vis the horoscope's astrological images of soul.

     "Really," you ask?

    • I still say mine's at Starbucks. ;)

I have no idea if Saturn is in my astrological chart, but if it is, its moon Pan resembles a coffee bean. It would explain my caffeine addiction, the panic attacks a quadruple shot espresso can inspire, how a hot cup of coffee in the morning makes the soul sparkle, and how it inspires you to seize the day.

It's possible that my destiny is to be no more than a laptop hobo in a coffee shop, forever mooching off the free WIFI. That's okay. Not everyone has greatness thrust upon them, and although it can posess you completely, I suspect most daimons/callings are fairly chill, and people like me are destined to live simple lives.
      • I love your candor, Holly. And SOMEONE has to support the poor baristas who need jobs so they can pay for grad school in Depth Psychology, right? :) It's all connected somehow...

    • Thanks for sharing your amazing book with Hadley Fitzgerald, Judith! Excited to release my interview with you on the topic for Depth Insights very soon!....
