Passing along some news posted by PGIAA-Pacifica Graduate Institute Alumni Association, with many thanks for making it available.

On October 14-15, the C.G. Jung Institute of San Francisco gave a program entitled “Politics, Culture, Soul: A National Conference on the Psychology of the 2016 Presidential Election.”  This was their fifth political conference held in advance of each presidential election since 2000.

The event gave a group of international, national and local speakers the opportunity to explore the workings of psyche at the individual and collective levels in the context of the current political climate. There was a highly dialogical quality to the program as attendees – who came from Europe, Canada, the East Coast, and of course California – questioned and commented upon the talks, and responded to one another.

All of the papers given at the conference have been made available, free, to anyone who wants them in a special collection that can be found courtesy of ARAS (Archive for Research in Archetypal Symbolism) Connections:   https://aras.org/newsletters/aras-connections-special-edition-2016-presidency-papers

ARAS Connections has a circulation of 10,000 so this timely conference will continue to have reverberations in the Jungian world and beyond.
