I only went out for a walk, and finally concluded to stay out till sundown, for going out, I found, was really going in. - from John of the Mountains: The Unpublished Journals of John Muir, Madison: University of Wisconsin Press, 1938, republished 1979, page 439.
A lifelong Californian, Robert Hanna was raised in Folsom,CA and now resides with his family in the nearby city of Roseville. Having spent his entire life in and around the Sierra Nevada Mountains, Robert left the financial world to create the clothing and outdoor company 'Range of Light', fulfilling his lifelong passion of bringing people out to nature and being a part of as many outdoor experiences as possible. He is the great-great-grandson of the famous naturalist, John Muir, and continues to carry on his family's legacy in being a voice in protecting and preserving all places of natural beauty and history.
Hanna's presentation will uncover and describe the many sides of Muir and take you through a very up-close and personal look at his life as can only be told by his family. With family stories and never before seen photos and writings, this is truly a exciting evening and one not to be missed.
